I am stripping the pine cabinets in my Kitchen. They were varnished over 20 years ago and have yellowed over the years. I am user a stripper to remove the varnish, and then attempting to sand them down to remove dents and scratches. How do I wash them after I have sanded them? Is there any special cleanser that I should use? and what do you recommend as a finish if I want them to stay the light colour of the pine?

Welcome to the forums!
I usualy wipe them down with a damp thinner rag. They don't really need to be washed, just wiped down so that any sanding ndust is removed. I assume any dirt/grime was removed during the stripping process.
All oil base polys and varnish yello with age. They also deepen the colors in the wood. Waterbase poly/varnish dries clear and doesn't yellow over time.
