I have a 90 day old waterfurnace heat pump last night it stopped working the well water froze up inside the unit there was water pressure at the inlet but nothing comming out of the return side the side of the unit it had a 10 inch dia cold spot on the case i turned it off and today water is flowing through the unit and its working ok it was 56 degrees last night and we had some nights in the high teens with no problems its a open loop system what made the well water freeze and stop the flow thanks in advance for any help

Sounds like poor water flow, or low charge.. I am leaning towards low charge on the system.. Call the dealer back.

True that.

Most probable cause is low water flow. #2 is low charge. If you can take water pressure readings we maybe able to check flow rate.

Warranty, call them back.

In the future if coil freezes turn on the A/C to melt ice.
