I have installed the HE360A and initally miswired and burnt the furnace transformer and humidifer board..called the hvac tech and he fixed the furnace and wired the humidifier direct to furnace/blower so it comes on with the blower. We then found the humidifier board fried and so I ordered a new one online...recieved the replacement and it still would not run..in checking the replacement board I found one side of the transformer open and so returned for another board..got that one and humidifier still does not run. I can't really check the board transisitrs or relay but there is no obvious open circuit. There is continuity on all other components, fan motor, solenoid, humidistat (when on only). With the furnace running I have 118 volts into the board but nothing out the 24 volt side. The furnace is a Greenbriar? Any ideas??

How it is wired up?
120 volts off the board's HUM or EAC for power for the humidifier?
The two yellow wires off the humidifier right to the Humidistat?
I've never troubled shoot the Honeywell's board on the 360 since I've never been around one before.

After talking with Honeywell customer service they suggested to bring the hvac tech back to check the wiring again. When he started checking..found the transformer burnt on 120 volt side..I checked before putting it in..and after it would not run and it was ok...so he rechecked all the wiring including voltage while operating and all was ~120 volts..getting another board and this time I will check the board first (again) and try connecting one item at a time...120 volt supply..check 24 volt side..add humidistat connection..check operation...add motor..check voltages..add solenoid..check voltages and that should give me the answer if it doesn't work again...back in the box and back to home depot!! any ideas??:

I'd say it's time to exchange it. I am wondering if you have a bad wiring inside, and it's shorting out your transformers.
Make sure the red wires are not hooked up or touching. Just the two yellow wires are being used to the humidistat.

Thanx Jay..there is no humidifier internal wiring as everything is on the board..only using yellow wires and not the red..it is really fairly simple. How the heck can we burn out the 120 volt side if the incoming voltage is >120??

It's hard to say... The fan motor is 120v, and there could be a cross in wire some where, and it burns out the transformer.

I too am having issues with the install, mounted the unit in the ducting, made all connections and nothing. Chk'd the outlet (not on the controller) 117 VAC, Yellow to Humidisat and reds dis-connected. Went back to the old HD and picked up another one same results. Contacted Honeywell :wall: not the easiest people. They are sending new electrical board. Need some help as I read on this board that I should t connect to the HUM c115 on the controller (Board # B18099-13) I see the HUM 115 yet no HUM "N", also I do not see any open tabs marked Neutral, should I splice into an exiciting or???
any all is greatly appreciated.
thx in advance
