We are looking to paint our living room and kitchen. This is essentially one room with a valuted ceiling and a 10 foot long, 8 foot high partial wall seperating the two spaces. We previously painted the green wall and really like the color but we can't come up with any ideas to finish the area without creating a "crayon box" look. Any ideas on a color scheme (with or without the sage green wall)?
I posted a few pictures of the space if that helps. The link is:

Hi raida357 and welcome to the Forums!
The link you posted doesn't work... can you check it (I can provide a better advice looking at a picture of the room)

Hi raida357,
I see your dilemma...
As the LR and kitchen are one room and the intermediate walls haven't full height, each color change will affect all the ambient and, due the extension of the walls, the effect will be lost
This is what I'd do--> create a "T" color effect using some neutral tan for the ceiling and a more intense hue for the dividing walls
Color suggestions for the ceiling
- Ramie SW6156
- Rice Grain SW6155
Color suggestions for the walls
- Sand Trap SW6066
- Utterly Beige SW6080
- Sand DuneSW6086
This is how I am imagining the effect

Hope this helps

pmgca,
Thank you for the input. We do want to try to maintain the green wall and your idea does that. Thanks!
