I plan to install free standing range 30" into exisiting tiled counter with back splash,remove old drop in range, remove bottom platform. any idea's how to cut tile? tile is also grouted to the range

Welcome to the forums! A diamond blade tile grinder will cut the tile, but I'm not sure if the results will be what you expect. The grout at the range may can be broken out with a cold chisel, hitting above the tile so as not to break the tile. You will have to deal with the rough edges left by the installer, since the lip of the drop in hides his boo boo's. What do you plan on doing with that? Just some things to consider before you rent a cutter.
