Im cut back 2 days a week at work. WIFE has me these
HONEY DO list that I don't want to DO!!!!
What do I have to do to this to get it ready to paint?
This bathroom was not painted behind it and did not look as good. I did another bath in my house and it came off better.
Here are a couple of pics if they show up?

I FORGT TO keep SCRAPEING with the Scrapper.
You make a tick tack toe pattern with this round scrapper.
Looks to me like the wall did NOT SCORE up as bad.
Do you have to use that scrapper..
What do ya think.

I don't envy the job you have in front of you
You need to remove what you can of the loose paper and then coat it all with either zinnser's gardz or an oil base primer. The primer will help to stabilize the drywall and paper so you can patch and prime without the worry of the moisture in latex paint of joint compound adding to your troubles.
Once the primer is dry, skim a coat of joint compound over the wall as needed. Once the j/c is sanded and looking good, your ready for primer [it can be latex this time] and paint.

I'm retired:D:D
When you call a contractor, just tell them you've stripped the wallpaper and need some one to repair the walls. As with any job you sub out, get 3 estimates [minimum] and check their references.

Sure wish I was retired and had the easy life. Some day it will be here..
WHAT If I get a big flat held grinder. Put a medium grit disk.
seems like that would clean it up???? Then Prime it
I want the easy way out?

I'm not sure where the retired and easy life meet up... maybe if I had been a big corporate crook
A disk sander would cause more damage!! It isn't all that difficult of a job. Once all the loose is off and the wall sealed, it isn't that hard to finish. You only need to apply a thin coat of joint compound, just enough to level everything out. If you apply the j/c neatly, you only need to do a little light weight sanding and it's ready for primer. j/c sands easy but does create a lot of dust but with a little effort it is doable by most diyers:thumbup:
