I picked up a printer which leaked ink onto my white kevlar sailing jacket.
I'm reluctant to use nail varnish remover on this incase, as it's
a man made fibre, it may melt. Any ideas please?

If its an inkjet..very likely its water soluable. A nice jacket (I'm sure it is) I'd call the manufacturer and get their assistance.

Thanks for the suggestion. I maybe should have mentioned I've tried soaking it for several days and have left it in a solution of a stain removal product called Vanish.
Neither have made the slightest impression on it.

This is a trick I read in a magazine a long time ago. I swear by it! I use hairspray to get the ink and marker stains off the seats in my school bus. Herbal Essenances is the best for this. Makes you wonder what goes into that stuff and what it may be doing to your hair! :-)) All you do is spray it on, let it soak for a few minutes, rub the material together a bit and drop it in the washer or a bucket of warm water to clean it like you normally would. You might want to include some oxyclean or the like to keep the ink from reattaching itself to another part of your jacket once it comes loose from the material. Sometimes it takes a few rounds to get all the ink out, depending on how deep the stain is and how much ink is concentrated in one spot. If the stain doesn't come out the first time, avoid heat drying (such as in a dryer) as this will set the stain and make it much more difficult to get out.

Hope that helps!
