I just bought and installed an HE360a with a H8908b humidistat to an older carier air handler (40YR036300)

I maybe should have done a little more research before buying, but I have installed it before working out how to hook it into the air handler.

The house used to have a humidifier installed, but previous owners had it removed before we bought it.

I also have a vision pro TH8321U1006 installed.

I looked and didn't see a HTG ACC or ACC terminal. I do see
L,O,Y,R, W3, W2, E,G,C
AUX1 (24V) AUX2 (24V) EAC1 (240v) EAC2 (240v) L1 (240V) L2 (240V)
TRANSFORMER AC LINE T1 (COMMON) T2 (DUMMY) T3

How should I hook it up to turn on when heat is called?

Also I hooked the water line into cold since there was already a saddle valve there, should I be using the hot line?

Thanks

What side of the system did you mount the unit on?

Did you get the install kit?

You can try the cold water and see what happens, if no results, then you may have to tap into the hot water line.

It is installed on the hot side, above the blower, the humidistat is installed on the return side. I didn't get the install kit, home depot didn't have it.

Ok, go online an order yourself the A50 relay (Current Sensing Relay)

That is the is the only way we can make it work for your set up.
