Hi Folks,
Hope you can help me out. I have a Trane TWE042C140B1 serial#L344j941V. I need to replace the 60 amp breaker that is built into the unit however the labels on the existing breakers are unreadable (going to replace the 30amp also just because). Can someone help me out with the part numbers or point me to a source I can check?
They are westinghouse quicklag-c breakers with a Cutler-Hammer sticker. I believe the part numbers to be QC2060 (60amp) and QC2030 (30amp) but I need to be sure.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
Mike

Bad serial number.
Model number does not list breakers on parts breakdown.
Recheck serial.

In digging a little further I see that there are multiple designations for the QC2060 and QC2030 (ie QC2060, QC2060H, etc). Any help greatly appreciated!
thanks,
Mike

Stupid Me.
The heater is an accessory. Is there a model number on the unit on the heat package anywhere?
Sorry to lenghten your quest.
Haven't been to any of these in a while and don't have a number (model) written down to provide more info.
Might just take one out and go to a box store or elec supply place.

FYI - I already pulled the breakers out and took them to my local electrical supply store (not box store), they couldn't be completely sure on the type since there are a bunch of designations for this breaker (ie: QC2060, QC2060H, etc).

Please disregard request... We have 25 degree temps coming tommorrow and I couldn't wait any longer so I called another HVAC guy out...we have heat. It was a bad breaker... It cost way more then I would have liked but this guy was truly a technician and pulled apart and tested the rest of the air handler components... May have paid more but now I know it wasn't a short in combination with a bad breaker.
JarredsDad - even though you weren't able to help me out I do appreciate your efforts :) Its people like you that make the internet worthwhile....

No problem Mike, that's exactly why we are here. Cheap AND correct is great!
With your heater serial Trane's best info told me the 60 amp would cost my compant $101.
Very happy your Tech checked every thing, parts changers are just that. Lucky you.
Still, this was a DIY. Maybe next time.
