I had a toilet replaced & the bolt caps just hang on the johnny bolts. I asked about it at the plumbing supply store. They said that whoever installed the toilet was supposed to cut down the johnny bolts so the caps would fit. Is that right? Thanks/Jina

Yes...thats right...some can be notched and snapped off, or just sawn all the way through with a close quarter hacksaw.
