I had installed HE220A humidifier on my Carrier furnace (on hot air supply bypassed to return). Its been a week and I have set the humidstat to 50 but my home's humidity level is still 25% which it was before I installed the humidifier.
I can see water flowing through and dripping from drain pipe when furnace wakes up and start blowing air but my question is how much time will it take to increase humidity level of house.
I have connected the solenoid wires to HUM and COM24 connectors on furnace mother board and it seems to be working as when furnace blows air I can see solenoid turning on and flowing water to flow.
What could be done wrong here?
Thanks lot.

Is the bypass damper open? (If you installed one)
What's the avg run time for the furnace, and how many times in an hour does it run?
Any fresh air or air exchanger (HRV) system on the return duct?

Yes I confirmed its open

I set temperature on thermostat to 73F and it normally stays there (I got a 2 yr old house with good insulation). On average furnace just runs once an hour.

Yes there is a Air Cycler installed .I set it to be 10 minutes ON and 30 minutes OFF. Not sure if this is what you meant but the control is installed over furnace and it says "Air Cycler" on it with buttons to set ON and OFF times.

How many sq ft is the home?
When it does run once an hour, how long of a run time do you get on an avg?
Yes there is a Air Cycler installed
Is there fresh air tied into the return along with this, and where are you out of?
What's the full model # of the furnace?
