Just replaced my 10 yr old over range microwave with a new one (GE Model PVM1870 SM1SS). Vents into the room (recirculating), however, unit is shipped to vent outside. Simple procedure of removing the blower plate and rotating the blower motor changes it to recirc. I had to leave the room for 20 minutes and my father-in-law says we are ready to rotate the motor. (he already took blower plate off). We did this and then installed the unit. Later last night I realized we never put the blower plate on. We do have 1 screw in the back securing the motor to the housing. Is it necessary to take the unit back down and install the plate??? Can do it if I have to but don't want to go through the hassle.
Thanks.
Thanks.
