I have a safe house 49-470A Radio Shack Burglar Alarm installed in my house. It's a four zone system that is 16 years old. Over the past two years I've been getting false alarms. The first time it happen I changed out all the magnetic switches in the affected zone and it seem to have fixed the problem. I have now had false alarms on all four zone and I've changed out every magnetic switch in the entire system. At first the new magnetic switches seemed to have fixed my problem but it has now happen on two of the zones with the new switches. The only thing I haven't changed out is the control panel and the wiring. I live in an area where the winter night temperatures are normally in the high thirties and low forties. The only pattern I've noticed it seems to happen when the temperatures drops in the low twenties or even into the teens.
Has anyone else had a similar problem or encountered this type of problem with the Safe House. Or does anyone have any idea what might be causing the problem.

Cold temps can make a weak backup battery make these old system a little unstable.
Also, if you doors and window contacts are a bit borderline for proximity, the temperatures could make the actual door or window move just enough to get a trip.
