I haven't really studied the actual steps of installing a tub/shower combo and one of those plastic tub surrounds, but hopefully you'll forgive me for my laziness, as I really have only one question at this time for the planning stage of the project.

If I pull-out my old tub/showers with plastic surround and replace it with something essentially the same size (except with a glassblock window), how long would the thing have to cure until it's usable? Theoretically, I could plastic-up the glassblock or we could just use the tub, but I have kids and until the other bath passes inspection, the tub/shower combo would be the only thing in the house.

Thanks in Advance;
And, please forgive my laziness.

Not exactly sure what you are asking. It can take days to replace a tub, but hours to replace a plastic surround if it was the add on type. But a surround that is part of the tub assembly can also take days.

So, the "days" is the "cure time"? Sort of like, it actually takes days to install sheetrock: One to put up the sheets, then the rest is mudding and waiting for the mud to dry.

Thanks and if I'm interpreting correctly, it means that I should finish one bath before I take out the other.

Thanks
