Bought two ceiling fans with lights. I want to control each light seperately from a dimmer on each side of the room as well as the fan speeds. Called and have part #'s for Maestro series switches and canopy modules. My issue is old rigid pipe in ceiling. How many wires do I need to feed through to make all this happen. I was told that I have to control both fans together, which I'm fine with. I want seperate lighting controls for each light assy. Before I purchase all this, I want to make sure there is enough room in the pipes. I'm told that I'm going to have to go triple gang because no one has exactly what I'm looking for. I do not want to have to pull on chains, if possible.

Hi Club:
"I want to control each light seperately from a dimmer on each side of the room as well as the fan speeds."
You'll need to clarify this a little. A light can be controlled from each side of the room with a pair of three way switches and one of them can be a dimmer, but not both. On/off on each side, but only one will have the dimmer. That's for each light.
Describe where your power comes in and where your conduits currently run.

When I called Lutron, he said it could be done with a Master and a slave set-up.(dimming)but would need a switch for each light(2x) same with the fan speed but could only control both fans at once. Found two boxes in ceiling and two switch boxes on walls while painting. Chisled out plaster. I have a black and a white running through the ceiling and down to an outlet in the front room. Circit powers some upstair recepticles also. The wall boxes: one has a black and a white going up with a bunch of other wires taped up inside box. The other, two blacks(like there may have been a switch at one time). Old cloth wiring. May have to chisle out more plaster to identify additional wiring on first ceiling box

Think I have bigger issues. North box has black & white coming from basement tee's off to a stairway light and switch behind it. from the North wall box, a black and white run to the 1st ceiling box, taped together,(like there was something there before)over to the south ceiling box where the two black wires come in from the south wall box. It then goes up the middle of the box into the ceiling. When I shut the breaker off, I found it powers up most of my upstairs lights and sockets. Maybe they eliminated the lighting down here to feed the upstairs?

Another option would be to just get a remote control.

Well Club, I googled your master slave comment and it looks like an electronic solution for having dimmers in two locations. However, I have never worked with one so should not be telling you how to wire them. Sorry, but there are some great electricians on the board so just hang tight and one will jump in.
Good luck, I'll be watching.
