I have an older house and all ceiling fixtures work with pull chains and no wall switches. I want to install a chandelier and would like to change the wiring to add a pull chain. Is this possible and if so how do I do it????

Have you thought about using a remote switch? A pull chain on a chandelier just does not seem like a good idea from the appearance stand point. Just my thought.

I have thought about a remote switch but can't find one that will work 4 arms without having to buy 4 seperate ones and then using 1 switch for all. That is a little more than I wanted to spend. Also, I have seen small chandeliers with pull chains. They come down through the middle rod and have the crystal ball on the end. Otherwise you're right, it would be ugly. I was kind of wondering if that is something I could do myself? Sending it down through the middle rod.

Post a photo of the chandelier and maybe someone will have a useful idea. You can use Photobucket to post a photo and give us the link address.
