A tub leak flooded a downstairs bedroom ruining the bed. Pillows made from old quilts have been water stained. Any suggestions to remove these stains? The quilt fabric appears to be cotton and the stuffing cannot be removed. Our drycleaner has refused to clean them.

Hi and welcome to the forum! If the quilt has been wet for a while already, mold may have already set in and there's probably nothing that can be done anymore. Will in fit in your washer? You have nothing to lose at this point to wash it on a gentle cycle, then hang to dry and hope for the best.
You could also soak it in a large tub or take it to a laundromat that has large washers.
I don't know of anything else you could do.

A more important question...did you address the water damage in the ceiling and wall areas? You may think it is just a small leak....BUT i have run accross situations were a small leak that was left for months or years turned into a bad deal.
