I don't know if the is the right place for this or not, but we are going to try and put some stone around our fireplace. We are going to be putting up the scratch coat this weekend. We are going to be using a dry stack type stone if that info is needed. Is there a certain type of mortar I should be using for the scratch coat?
Thanks for the help.

If you haven't done it yet...the masonry/ concrete area might be a better forum.
