I'm adding an additional new 6150 keypad in my garage....lights work display works and I programmed as:
1 + 3 on the keypad then entered address 17
then verified it was 17
system program:
*190
10
*99
I can see that the system is armed via the 6150 but I can't disarm the system via the 6150...help:wall:

Could you be trying to disarm using the installer code instead of a master or user code? This isn't likely a keypad issue (if it works to arm, it works to disarm).

Thanks Ron,...I was using the master code. I have no idea what the problem was...but after trying everything except replacing the 6150 (didn't have a spare)I ran a new wire from the 6150 to the control panel...deleted the programming to the 6150 and reinstalled and it now works....must be majic
as always thanks for your great response.

It sounds like you probably had a bad cable or a iffy connection at one end or the other, and putting it back together more carefully solved the problem.

You simply had a broken green data wire. this wire transmits info from the keypad to the panel. If your red, black and yellow wire is good you will get a display on the keypad but with the broken green data wire there will be no commands sent to the panel. One key indication of this is the keypad beeps after each key pressed but stops beeping around the 5th consecutive pressed.
