I am hoping someone can help with a squeaky rocking chair, it's very old boston/cherry has been stripped squeaked before stipping would like to try and get rid of some of the squeaks has anyone else had luck doing this thankyou hmseler @comcast.net

Likely cause is loose joints that shift or move when the chair is sat on and/or rocked.If it's old then the wood has dried and the glue is old etc.Big job choice is taking it apart and regluing but I'd try a product designed to swell wood.One is called "Chair-Loc" so you see where I'm coming from.There are other brands including one made by Weldwood I can't remember the exact name of.Try hardware stores with good saleshelp.Big box probably won't carry it and the help won't know what it is.If you have an Ace Hardware near you it's part of some of the paint department planograms.
