Specifically how do I connect my Aprilaire 500A Humidifier to my Amana Heat pump Model BBC48A2A. Aprilaire says to connect to 24VAC Furnace Accessory Terminal, specifically WG and CF. Amana heatpump has the following terminals R, C, Y, E, O, G & W2. Do I use W2 for WG and C for CF?

For heat pump, i would wire it like this.
C from air handler to C, and jumper over to Cf on humidistat.
R from air handler to R on humidistat.
G from air handler to W/G on humidistat.
If you wired it to W2, it won't come on unitll Aux heat is called for at the t-stat.
Is E and W2 wired by itself, or is there a jumper between the 2?

Thanks, however there is nothing connected to E. Threre are 2 white wires connected to W2, 1 Green to G, 2 Orange to O, 2 Yellow to Y, 2 Black to C, and 2 Red to R.
2 each one from thermostate and one from out door unit I assume, only the 1 green wire and nothing connected to E.
So is: C from air handler to C, and jumper over to Cf on humidistat the way to go? What do you mean by jumper? Am I adding a wire from C to CF on humidistate?
R from air handler to R on humidistat.
G from air handler to W/G on humidistat.
Am I still connecting Aprilaire 24Vac tranformer to R & C on humidistat? Am I removing wires from air handler low volatage connections and connecting to humidifier?

Nothing on E at both air handler and the t-stat? Do you have an extra wire we could use?

You do have the transformer installed?
If you do have that, is it "hot" all times?
If so, then that changes the plan.
R and C from humidistat goes to the transformer.
W/G to G on air handler.
Cf to C on air handler.

Jay11J, thanks again. Yes there are several wires from T-stat and outdoor unit that aren't used, blue, green, etc. if needed.
I haven't installed transformer that came with Aprilaire yet, but can install so it's hot at all times producing 24Vac and connected to R & C at humistat.
Then if I understand correctly the only connections I need to make are W/G on humistat to G on air handler & Cf on humistate to C on air handler. Plus outdoor sensor to ODT & solenoid valve to H on humistat. Pls confirm. Thanks again.

Use any color you wish, wire that up to E on the t-stat, and E at the air handler, then turn on the t-stat's emergency heat mode. FIY, you may get some smell/smoke so may have to open some windows to air out the house. If you do get heat, let me know, and we can rewire this up the correct way.

If you have a hard time or not real place to put this transformer, You can skip that and use R on the air handler instead. (As I was suggesting earlier in my post)

Yes, if you were to use the transformer.

I checked the t-stat and there is are no wires connected to E & I. However, when I turn Emergeny Heat On the Red Emer Ht light illuminates, if the turn the temperature up, it clicks and Yellow Aulx light illuminates (Amana T-stat) and the electric meter speeds up and it starts dispensing warm air, so Emergency Heat appears to be working connected this way.
Is it better to install 24Vac transformer that came with Aprilaire or use R from air handler to R on humidistat and G from air handler to W/G on humidistat? Thanks for all the help!

I think you still got one more set of heating banks that is not being used (E).
Undo the W1 wire and hook up the E on both ends, and see what happens.
If you can install/mount the transformer, Do it, it really don't matter either way. it's up to you if you want to do it or not.

Glad to hear the humidifier is working.
Did you rewire the t-stat like I suggested?
