Hi, I have an outside, ugly stucco wall that I would like to improve by applying mosaics (a combination of tile, glass, stone, etc..) and I am not sure how to do this. Can someone please tell me what materials I would need? I live in PA so the wall is exposed to the winter elements. Thanks in advance,

What is the finish? Smooth, rough, painted, etc.

The stucco is a painted rough surface. Thanks.

You will have to remove the paint totally, then you can use thinset.

Thanks. Will I need to apply any type of sealant after the mosaics are set?

You should, either a surface or a penetrating one. Surface if you want wet look, penetrating if you don't.

OK, thanks. What do you recommend I use to remove the paint from the stucco wall? I forgot to ask you. Also, do I have to use grout in between my mosaic tiles, stones, glass pieces? Just wondering. And is "thinset" a type of mortar with adhesive? Can I buy it at Home Depot?

It will depend upon the paint, but nothing short of a sand blaster is going to do it easily. A wire wheel on a grinder will do it, but it will take a while.
Yes you will want to grout the joints and yes, big box stores sell thinset in the tile dept.
