We're redoing our bathroom. Bath is 10' 5" by about 5'

Found some tile we like, not sure if the tile is too big for a relatively small bathroom. Tile we like comes in 12x12 for the floor, and 10x16 for the wall.

Would those tiles look odd in a bathroom our size? Should we go with smaller tile? 8x10 or 6x6 for the walls?

It will be just fine. I have 13x13 in one of my bathrooms (same size as yours) and it looks good.

Go with what you like.

Hi David_pctech,

This issue depends a lot of the type of tile.
A small bathroom with large tiles solid color type or granite type, it will look just fime. However, if the tiles are decorated or multicolored the effect will be ugly

Some decorators suggest the following "rule"--> if you enter in a bathroom and you can count the tiles with just one look... then the tiles are too big :D

I don't know much about the work, but from a design standpoint, I feel like big tile on the wall looks like a mausoleum. Big tile on the floor spreads the space and can work great in a small room.
