I’m looking for a belt for a 9 year-old Snapper SE5203E single stage snow thrower. Snapper part # is 7709614.
OEM or aftermarket is okay.
Does anyone know of any sources that may have one in existing stock? I would really appreciate it.
According to all local suppliers and about 20 online sources, no one has one in stock.Snapper has discontinued the belt and there is no replacement, either.
I'm not happy. It's just a 20" flat belt with grooves. Cant belive they would just continue a maintenance part like a belt. The unit works great, except for the belt.
If I am forced to buy a new unit, you can bet it wont be Snapper!
Thanks,
Merrill Clark

It looks like this model was built by MTD. MTD model 317-262-094 looks exactly like your model. Belt part number 954-0452.

Indypower,
I'm not sure how many ribs. The belt is still on and semi-works, just slips alot so I havent removed it yet. Maybe this weekend I can check, but I'd guess 3 or 4 ribs. I know it's a 20" belt.

AJ,
Thanks for the info. I do know it's a 20" belt (from everything I've read).
I'll check out your info.

AJ,
I checked out the MTD info you shared , and you're absolutely right. It looks identical. Somewhere in my online travels, a description of the Snapper # said it was 20 inches, but after thinking about it, that's pretty darn short - and doesn't make sense.
I also just got a reply (finally after a week) from Snapper. guess what? They confirmed exactly what you said about MTD...but still couldnt give me the details you did!
And it's about $25 cheaper for the same stupid belt
THANKS AGAIN!!!
Merrill

Glad I could help. I think that the description of the snapper belt meant that it was a belt for a 20" machine.
