I'm new to alarms, and installing my first full system in my own house.
I am attempting to stumble through programming the keypad. I can't get past these two faults...
"Fire Trouble 01"
"Fault 09"
I put the jumpers on all the hardwire zones I am not using. I only have 8, so I don't know where the "Fault 09" comes from.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Did you use a smoke alarm? Zone 9 is specifically for a smoke detector.

NO smokes installed whatsoever. I only have 1 wireless transmitter and 1 motion sensor installed for now.

Hardwired zone 1 defaults to being for 2 wire smokes. You have to put a 2 k resistor on it even if you have the system set for no EOL resistors.

Thanks for the input. I put a resistor on Zone 1 and removed my PIR from that zone. The "Fire Trouble 01" is gone.
Now I have a "CHECK 100 RF RECEIVER" fault...
Thanks again for the assistance.

Either you have tried to enroll a wireless device without actually having a wireless receiver, or you have a wireless receiver that's not properly connected or addressed (00 is the only valid address for a wireless receiver on a V-20p)
You _can_ install a motion on zone 1, but you have to change the zone type in *56 programming.
