Our Tappan Microwave # 56-9339-10-02, manuf in 1989, Sometimes works fine, more often now it keeps running when u open the door! Sometimes it starts upon opening door when in the off mode? We now have it plugged to a strip plug extention cord, with switch, to use as a on/off switch temporarily.

Any ideas, or is it time to get a new one. I've looked for Tappan recalls, didnt see any.
