I have a problem in my garage. It appears the drywall joint tape is coming off where the wall meets the ceiling. This is a finished garage but I have noticed over the past year almost 1/2 of the tape around the top of the garage has come lose(probably the heat from the cars and the humidity from living in the south.)
How should I repair this? Try re-gluing the tape or should I try running some moulding around the entire garage where the wall meets the ceiling. :coffee:thx g

You can either pull the tape off and retape or hide it moulding. Trying to reglue the tape often doesn't work and I'd only consider trying it if it was just a spot or two.
A good coat of paint is the best defense to prevent te tape from coming loose. Often the garage is barely painted and with a cheaper grade of paint.

I think I'm going to go with some moulding, thanks for the reply. g

ITS A GARAGE. Use some fire rated caulking to ensure no exhaust gets into living space and call it a day. After this if you wish to put some crown up im not gonna stop you.
