The "setup" function (default) for #25 shows a setting of 1=Hum only while fan on for Humidifier Operation. Problem I have is that the TrueSTEAM won't run at that default setting? It will run on 2=Hum forces fan on? I have my furnace fan set to run 24/7 on the Tstat. The wiring connections are made per page #12 in the TrueIAQ instructions booklet 69-2072-05 dated 7/31/08. Note: only the outdoor SENSOR has been added to the TrueIAQ which is off by 5 degrees as compared to the Lennox SignatureStat sensor.

:confused:Does anyone know why the TrueSTEAM humidifier won't run on the TrueIAQ factory default setting 1=HUM only while fan on...?

Seems to be an awful lot of confusion in the wiring up of a Honeywell TrueSTEAM / TrueIAQ humidifier control setup?

I would really appreciate some expert response to clarify this question. Thanks!

Do you have a G from the t-stat itself going right to Gt on the unit? Then Gf from the unit going to the furnace itself?

Correct... G from Tstat to GT on TrueSTEAM and G from furnace to GF on TrueSTEAM.

Wired per instructions from Honeywell book

Does the fan run when you switch the t-stat fan switch to "ON"?

What is dipswitch 5 set to?

Furnace fan is set to run 24/7 in the "ON" position.

All "dip switches" are in the down (off) positions.

ok, so is the fan itself running or not running?

Dipswitch are OK.

I looked at the manual for the TrueSTEAM itself, it says set #25 to 2. So guess 1 does not work with the TrueSTEAM.

OK... furnace fan runs and ramps up as needed...no problem here.

TrueSTEAM functions in the 25-2 setup selection of the TrueIAQ settings (if you read this in your copy of the manual to be the correct setting for the TrueSTEAM than my copy must be incorrect as it doesn't reflect this detail)

It appears to be working correctly as it the IAQ turns the unit on and off based on humidity requested. I'll get back to you if I run into any other issues.

Suggestion to others purchasing the TrueSTEAM unit...go with the biggest unit (HM512) as the base size unit is too small to handle an average sized two story home. (my opinion)

Thanks for your help Jay. (60+ in NC today):WH:;)
