I've bought a bunch of (4'x8') 1/2" sheetrock and a hoist to laminate my (3/4") plaster ceilings, but my wife's been transferred, so I've got to turn around and quickly finish all of the projects that I have underway and do some other stuff to get this fixer-upper ready for sale.
One of the things that I'm ready to farm-out is the ceilings. I just had a fellow who moonlights with sheetrock and tilework come by, who's willing to do the house room-by-room and upon request, so that I can keep moving the furniture out of the way.
There's no question that the fellow himself runs at top speed, I could hardly keep up in conversation and the person who recommended him called him "fast", but I forgot to ask for some kind of per-room time estimate and I won't be able to contact him again before tomorrow. While this evening, I'm going to have to discuss it with my wife and to be honest, I kind of wonder whether I could get a less-costly person to do the work, so I'm not exactly sure that I want to call him right away.
I know this is kind of abstract and local factors have to be taken into consideration, but if you had to provide a guesstimate: How many hours do you think it'd take an experienced moonlighter, and what I assume to be an experienced helper to laminate a 12'x20' room? And do you think it'd work, if I broke that number down into some kind of square foot/per room/per hour-like thing, so that I could get a rough idea of how much I'd end-up paying this dude to do my whole house?
Thanks in Advance;
I don't know what I'd do without the kind people in these forums.

ETA: The guy said that he's used a hoist, but wasn't impressed and likes using a T and a helper, so we might not open the box. Though, as you might suspect, the helper would probably cost me more than I'll get from returning the hoist, but figured it should be taken into consideration.
