Hi.
Does anyody know what type of metal my carb is made of?
Sinc cast or alu cast?
i have a 1980 10hp snowblower engine 190402 with a crack in the carb housing, and want to solder it.
Are there any ways to surfacetreat it eg. anodizing?
Thanks

Most all carburetor bodies are aluminum. You do not say if something is broken loose or if there is just a crack in the metal. I would think a product like JB Weld would work. Clean the area well with MEK, Acetone or alcohol before repair.
The heat required to solder would probably cause damage.
