We have an older Bryant heat pump. The blower stopped working and only produces a loud humming sound coming from the blower area. The fan blades turn easily within the "cage". The outside unit is working. No smell from the blower. What do you think?

Could be the blower mtr capacitor, is the mtr hot to the touch?
