Can someone help me on this issue? My contractor is not calling me back. He installed six slope ceiling recessed lights in my living room. They provide enough lighting for my kids to play in the room. However, we hated them. The lights are very annoying with glare all the time. When we are watching TV, the lights are on our face even we dim it. http://c:\dscf3569Someone told me to adjust the light blub further into the housing more, and someone told me to change the housing from white to black trim to reduce glare. What should I do? Here is what we see when we watch TVhttp://s582.photobucket.com/albums/ss265/jwongs/

You can try to change the trim to "eyeballs" and you can divert the light in other directions.
Here's an example

Turn off the ceiling lights and use a lamp located so as to not cast a glare on the screen.

This is the kind of housing that I have, 8110HR - 6inch IC Slope Ceiling Remodel Housing, Remodel Line Voltage (Incandescent Housing) by Royal Pacific, LTD. (http://www.lightinguniverse.com/products/view.aspx?sku=3030370)
I was told that if I add eyeball, it wouldn't turn. Thanks.

I'm not sure if this may help however, it says it's for ceiling with 2:12 to 6:12 slopes. Is the can itself adjustable so the light can shoot straight down? I've never used these type cans so I'm not sure.
One other option, since they're old work (remodel) cans you can remove them and put regular cans in with eyeballs. You could just try one and see if it does the trick. The cans are fairly "cheap"
Again, I've never used sloped cans so I can't say whether or not eyeballs will/won't work with them.
And lastly, get a covered trim that has a glass diffuser .
Hope this may help, I'm out of ideas.:wall:
