Just purchased an new Honeywell RTH7500. It cycles off & on every 2 min.on a 28 to 30 degree evening. Example on at 70.1 off at 70.7 on & on what ever the number on heating. Help!

Make sure that the cycle rate is set to 3 or less if you have a heatpump.

If you have direct electric resistance heating, set the cycle rate to 3 or 5. (Cycling heat strips frequently won't hurt them)
