I am having a problem with my older Sears snowblower.

It has "gage wheels" ( not skid shoes) to adjust the space between the ground and the scraper blade.

There is more of a gap (1/4") on the right side than the other, even when both of the guides are removed. Could the housing near the impeller be misalligned? Any ideas?

It's model 536.909400. It's 5hp and 22".

After looking at the parts list on the Sears site, I would check the scrapper blade.

The scraper blade is fixed (riveted).

What would you recommend? Where did you access the manual?

Photos are not very clear, but better than nothing.

Thanks. The scraper blade is the same width across the whole front. I don't think it's the scraper blade.

Is the housing adjustable? (since the scraper blade isn't the problem).

Are the tires the same size? Are the inflated to the same pressure?

They are hard rubber and are the exact same size.
