I am concidering installing a Honeywell HE365B1004 humidifier on my homes heating system. Can the 1/2" drain be connected to the condisate pump that is already installed on the furnace/ac coil. The furnace is located in the basement and drain is higher then the position that the humidifier will be intalled.
Please advise.

Yes, you can use the pump to drain the humidifier drain water.
I take it you don't have a floor drain near by?
If you don't, is the cut off switch wired up on the pump?

No floor drain near by. As for the shut off switch I'm not sure. The pump is a Little Giant and I believe that all the wiring is self contained, with a simple 110v plug but i will check when i get home tonite.
The pump works well with the furnace and ac coil, I just didn't know how much drain water the humidifier will generate. I would hate to spend that much on a humidifier and have it make a mess in the basement.
thanks for your help.

you should see two small low voltagel wire coming out of the unit.
If nothing is wired to it, I'd suggest to wire that up so it can shut down the furnace if the pump fails on you.
How do you plan on hooking up the humidifier? (Power/control)

Thanks again for your help.
I don't remember seeing any other wires going to the pump, but I will look later. As for the wiring I don't have the humidifier yet, I was making sure I wouldn't have a drainnig issue. My furnace is a newer Rheem and I believe there is a terminal on the control board for the humidifier. When I have the humidifier in hand I will review the wiring instuctions and decide then. Is there any known issue I should be concerd with?

Give me the model #, or look for 120volts HUM on the board.
I'll get back to you on how to wire the cut off switch on the pump.
