Hello,

I just had my doors hung and they are ready to be painted. The contractor that hung the doors is hanging the trim around the doors as well. He wants to put the trim up before I have the carpet installed. Is this ok? How far should he be from the concrete floor? I saw his cuts and it looks like they are right on the floor/concrete. Is this ok? Should I wait until the floor is in before he puts the door trim up? I am waiting to imstall the baseboard trim until after the carpet is installed.

1/2 inch above floor if carpet is to be installed later. If not carpet, then actual thickness of floor covering.
