I just recently acquired this snowblower, Model 38080 with a 4000... serial and noticed the safety mechanism is not connected. I wanted to know if anyone has a troubleshooting guide for it or can assist on getting it functional again. Thanks.

which safety mechanism are you refering to?

It's the one on the handle. You are supposed to have it pressed in order for the snowblower to move in gear but it doesn't work and will start moving if you start it in gear.
