:alarm:I bought a new gas grill last July, its a Weber Genesis, so the 3control knobs are located on top of the side shelf. Just lately I noticed the plastic knobs are being chewed by something. I'm assuming mice or rats, but haven't seen them. The grill stays covered when not being used and I also found droppings inside and underneth the grill, that I am also assuming to be from rats or mice. How do I tell whats invading my grill and how to get rid of them, if it is mice or rats? :madhell:
Thanks for any and all help. Catzcar

They are only there for one thing....food. Do you "burn" after you cook? It is a good idea to turn your grill on high after you remove your food in order to get rid of the accumulated greases and particles left behind. Without food, the rats will go elsewhere. And clean it after your last use in the fall (if you don't use it in the winter) with degreaser and your garden hose. They are chewing on your knobs to sharpen their teeth. Rats are big mice....squirrels are bigger rats, all in the family Rodentia. Or get a hungry cat.
