I have an 8' ceiling that steps up to 9' in the center of the room. This creates an outside drywalled corner at the 8' height where it steps up. The metal drywall bead is coming through in some areas where it is stipled. I have tried using a stipling brush to try and patch in some mud to make it blend but it is not matching the original stiple very good.
I could use some ideas on how to fix this problem.
thank you

You need to renail the corner bead if it is loose. You will also need to float it out with some joint compound before texture can make it disappear.

If you could supply a pic using a free site like Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket (http://www.photobucket.com) we can better advise you on how to duplicate the texture.
