Hi guys,
I searched the forum for the problem that I am having, and I couldn't find a problem similar. For some reason, there is one zone that is showing that it is currently open, but the door doors that make up that zone are both firmly closed. I checked the front door, and where the sensor is, about 2/3 down the door, the silicon looks like crap. I am thinking this could be the cause. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what could be causing this? It used to work just fine, and stopped working out of the blue.

What kind of contacts are they? Surface mounted switch, recessed reed switch, plunger, roller ball?

Could be a missing magent or a bad contact. You can pull off a contact and twist the wires together. if the zone restores then you found your bad contact.
