Oven is ten years old. Magnetron was replaced within the first month of operation by technician. Had been working perfectly since until about one month ago. Developed a loud hum but did heat normally until last week. All functions normal except no heat. Suspected magnetron but checked high voltage transformer, diode and capacitor. All check OK. Replaced magnetron with new unit. Now heats normally, Powers up quietly for about two seconds then loud hum returns. Possibly filament warm up time. Am I in danger of damaging the new magnetron? Could there be something wrong in the wave guide or cabinet? Any help appreciated.
