I just finished sheetrocking my bathroom. i used 1/2" durock on my shower walls. D I need to tape the joints in the durock, and if I do, what do I use. And what do I use to tape celing corners where durock meets drywall?

On the main field of durock, if you look in the tile section, you will find rolls of mesh tape made for this purpose. It is not like the mesh tape in the drywall section. Install the mesh and overcoat it with thinset. Where the durock and sheetrock meet, you can use either, as that is not a critical area for water infiltration. You will get a smoother transition if you use drywall compound at that location.
