Walls and Ceilings - Help! - Knee wall height

I'm just about to start refinishing my attic. I need help choosing a knee wall height. The attic currently had a knee wall height of 2ft. The area is going to be used for small TV room and bedroom. The space seems more usable if I make the knee wall 4 ft, but I don't want to loose the floor space. But if I keep it 2ft am I actually going to be able to use that area anyway? It would make the placement of a TV, bed or sofa akward because of all the dead space. Any Ideas??

Attic conversion requires plans to be submitted to local building code office for approval and building permit with possible additional permits for electrical. Building codes have certain strict requirements for attic conversions.

Knee wall height should not be so low that the perimeter of the room can not be used. Knee wall height could be higher on walls where head and foot of bed are and shorter on the other two sides. You will want the ability to place a chest and TV as well as a sitting area.
