I've somehow severed the wire on a pair of Philips noise canceling headphones. I'm currently researching how to repair the wire and such, but I'm wondering if anyone has advice about what equipment I can buy and where I can get it?
I have the headphones (of course), but I've lost the other half of the wiring (the connector and the headphone wire).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Welcome to the forums!

Is there any part of the original cable intact? Is there enough to strip the outer insulation? If so, buy a cheapo pair of headphones, cut the cable off, and splice it onto yours.

Generally there are three individually-insulated wires inside. One wire feeds the left headphone speaker, another feeds the right, and the third is common to both.

What's the model number?

Some more hookup detail.

When you look at the plug for stereo headphones, you will see three distinct sections separated by small insulating bands:

The tip which goes to the left headphone speaker
The Ring which goes to the Right headphone speaker. (Note the mnemonic.)
The sleeve which is common to both speakers

Rick's suggestion to cut the cord and connector from a cheap pair of headphones will work well. You will not be able to solder the conductors, so crimping them is necessary.

There is also the possibility of purchasing a complete replacement cord from Phillips. You might take a look at their website for that.
