Hi I have never dealt with a water softener before and I need help. I was told I need to get new "pellets" but there are three kinds of pellets to refill it. Can someone tell the the right kind of pellets to retrieve for my kind of water softener.
Thank you in advance

DO you know your water conditions, especailly how much iron?

The different types of pellets are for specific applications. Salt with "Rust Removes or Iron Out" are used when you have iron in the water. Plain pellet salt is used on city water or well water with no iron and potassium chloride (K-Life or Soft Touch) are used if you are on a sodium restricted diet.
