Hello, I bought a house with an alarm system installed, but I did not get the Master code to operate it. Is there any way to reset it to factory default (1234)? The system is: DSC PC 5010, model PC4164 with remote rec. PC5-132RS with Key Pad LED KP 5516. Also can I get the Installation Manual on line?

Yes you can get the install manual;

Websearch using the phrases: "DSC PC 5010 installer manusl" _and_ "DSC PC 5010 programming manual". You need both because the instructions in one references the other.

See the FAQ for this topic, you have to default the entire system to reset the master code, and there is a chance that the installer lockout may be set.

Thanks for the quick reply. Tried FAQ but no joy. It doesn't recognize any wording combination (DSC PC 5010, master code reset, etc.) Tried DSC and/or other websites as you suggested, but for a instal./programming manuals one has to have a dealers access. So no luck either. Any other suggestions??

How about trying the sticky titled "Alarm Forum FAQ (Please Read Before Posting)"

If you plug those phrases into a standard web search engine (i.e. Google), the very first result is the installer manual.
