This is my first post so please excuse any mis-communication or long discertation.

I have a Ge Superbus 2000 fixed English Touchpad with a Concord 4 hardwire security alarm. It has been in place for about three years.

The other night, the alarm was set for nighttime with a no delay alarm as we always do. There was no lightning or storms and at 3:00 AM, the alarm touchpad chimed with 5 quick chirps. It contiued to do so about every 3-5 minutes. I disconnected the power and the battery, waited about 30 seconds and reconnected the power supply with the same result. Every LCD reading possible was showing on the touchpad display. I ordered a new touchpad and got the same result with all LCD readouts showing on the display. When I re-attached the power, I received the same 5 chirps as before. I have also tried this with battery only and regular power only as ell as the full hook-up. Any suggstions onwhat could be wrong?

Thanks.

Those are trouble beeps. Have you checked your system against the trouble chart on page 39-41 of your user manual?

The most likely is either a low battery or loose keypad wiring connections. I lean to the battery.

Thank-you for the comment. I will take a look at 39-41, however, it is not the battery. I have disconnected the battery and ran the same troubleshooting on electric only and the same beeps occur. As far as the wiring, this occured with no change at all to the wiring. It just started beeping at 3:00 in the morning. Also, I bought a new keypad and re attached the wiring myself and can assure that the wiring is not loose.

Looking at the table; trouble beeps with all segments of the fixed language keypad lit means system memory failure. Your system is, most likely, failing.

I don't think that there's a fix for that other than a new motherboard. GE Guy might know if there's any other solution.

Ya, it's kind of like the "blue screen of death" with Windows....

Thanks. That's what I was afraid of. Any idea as to where to get a new motherboard and how to tell what board I actually need?
