i have taken off my deck to my riding lawn mower will it still work as drive if so what would be a good way to get more power for it it has 12.5hp engine

It will still drive without the deck. More power? Are you wanting more power, or more speed? You can get more speed by putting a smaller pulley on the transaxle. More power requires some work on the engine.

Driving your mower after taking the deck off of your mower will not hurt it at all as long as you removed it properly and have nothing hanging down and as far as speed is concerned u might get just a lil more speed but not much. Just a warning that driving a mower with no deck can cause you to roll over easier if your real sharp on turns and on hills. Hope that helped ya and becarful!
