Ran new wire to 2 windows upstairs getting continuity to each window when i close the window contact but when I put them in their zone spots on the control panel (1 and 2) then program the zones in 001 as instant 03 and activate them in partition 202. I get an open door sign on the RFK5501 keypad stating zone 1 and 2 are open. I have moved them around to different zones on the control panel and the programming but there is change in the open status. It almost seems like the wired zone ports on the control panel are dead. Have wireless components in zone 3,4, and 5 and those are working just fine. Wireless zones are assigned to the wired zones and the [013] option 1 is off leading to normally closed loops without EOL Resistors. Zone 1 was jumped at panel, active in partition [202]... Zone attributes set as well as zone type, in zone attributes option 8 is off... still showing open on the keypad? :wall:

You probably need end-of-line resistors and don't have them. See my response to the last post. Try shorting across the zone AT the panel with your programming as you stated. If a dead short doesn't clear it, then try shorting it with a 5,600 ohm resistor (Radio Shack). If that doesn't work clear it either, it's likely a programming error (how did your program section 001?)
