I have a DSC PC1555 with one keypad installed by the builder of my home. Everything is working perfect today (I have the system monitored). I have purchased a second PC1555RKZ keypad, but before I go to install it I have a few questions:

1. Do I physically connect the second keypad to the same four connectors as the first (red, black, green, yellow)?
2. Once I do, will there be any programming necessary if I do not plan to use the zones feature of the alarm system?

Thanks in advance for the help.

I found the manual here:
http://www.mainelectronics.com/pdf/PC1555Install.pdf

It shows in the wiring diagram that all keypads are "bussed" on the keypad connectors, as is the case with almost all security systems. Just tie like colors together and you should be good. I don't think you need to tell the PC1555 that there is a second keypad, but particularly with LCD keypads, you sometimes do, so READ the MANUAL.

Directly from the manual:

2.5 Keypad Assignment
There are eight available slots for keypads. LED keypads by default are always assigned to slot 1. LCD5500Z keypads are always assigned to slot 8. You will need to assign each keypad to its own slot (1 to 8). Keypad assignment is equired, as it tells the panel which slots are occupied. The panel can then generate a fault when a keypad supervisory is not present.
NOTE: One LCD keypad must be assigned to slot 8 in order to upload keypad programming using DLS-1 software.
NOTE: PC5509 keypads are always assigned to slot 1. They cannot be reprogrammed.

How to Assign Keypads
Do the following at each keypad installed on the system:
1. Enter [8][installer’s code] to go to installer programming
2. Enter [000] for Keypad Programming
3. Enter [0] for Slot Assignment
4. Enter a two digit number (11-18) to specify which upervisory slot the keypad will occupy.
5. Press [#] twice to exit installer programming.
After assigning all keypads, perform a supervisory reset by entering section [902] in installer’s programming. The panel will now supervise all assigned keypads and enrolled modules on the system.
